ISDMA LEADERSHIP SUMMIT GAINS MOMENTUM AS ECEWS CEO PLEDGE SUPPORT
… advocates stronger cohesion for sustainable growth
As preparations intensify for the maiden Leadership Anniversary Summit of the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Media Advocates (ISDMA), billed for Friday, July 3, 2026, in Ikot Ekpene, the Chief Executive Officer of Excellence Community Education Welfare Scheme (ECEWS), Dr. Andy Eyo, has endorsed the initiative, with a pledge to support and participate in the event.
He gave the assurance on Tuesday, while receiving a delegation of the Central Planning Committee of the summit at his office.
Commending the organisers for the choice of the theme, “Leadership Synergy and Development Impact in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District” Dr. Eyo described it as timely and relevant, noting that it aligns with the collective aspiration for greater collaboration and sustainable development within the senatorial district.
He applauded ISDMA for taking up the responsibility of projecting the achievements, opportunities, and positive narratives of the district to a wider audience, stressing that such efforts are essential in shaping public perception and attracting development.
The ECEWS Chief Executive Officer also lauded the group’s decision to honour Governor Umo Eno, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, whose contributions have positively impacted society, and emphasized the need for stronger unity and cohesion among the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Mr. Samuel Ayara, who led the delegation, explained that the visit was to formally brief the ECEWS boss on the forthcoming summit and present him with an invitation to attend as a Guest of Honour.
Ayara described Dr. Eyo as one of the illustrious sons of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District whose contributions to community development through ECEWS have earned him widespread recognition, noting that ISDMA considers him deserving of special recognition for his sustained commitment to improving lives through interventions in healthcare, education, economic empowerment, and community development.
The CEO of ECEWS was accompanied during the meeting by key officials of the organization, including the Chief of Party, Dr. Adeoye Adegboye; Deputy Chief of Party, Dr. Toyo Otoyo; Director of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning, Dr. Emeka Obolo; Senior Human Resources Officer, Titilayo Omotogunja; Executive Officer to the CEO, Joan Kufre; Communication Specialist, Abraham Malgwi; and Communication Associate, Mr. Utibe Archibong.
Members of the ISDMA delegation included the Secretary of the Central Planning Committee, Dr. Amanam Hillary, and the Director of Information, Mr. Mfonobong Ukpong.
