ISDMA HOLDS ANNIVERSARY SUMMIT TO CELEBRATE GOV ENO, SENATOR AKPABIO

The stage is now set for the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District Media Advocates, ISDMA, Leadership Anniversary Summit, scheduled to be held tomorrow, Friday, July 10, 2026, at Ati Annang Hall, Ikot Ekpene.

The summit will celebrate the three years of leadership of the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, PhD, and the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio, GCON, while examining the developmental gains of their collaborative leadership across Akwa Ibom State, particularly the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

According to the organisers, the summit is designed to highlight the gains of purposeful governance and the impact of strategic partnership in driving development, promoting peace, and advancing sustainable growth across the state.

The event is expected to attract a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including government officials, private sector leaders, civil society organisations, members of the academic community, media practitioners, youth groups, traditional rulers, and the general public to examine the role of collaborative leadership in delivering tangible development outcomes.

A major highlight of the summit will be the keynote lecture themed, “Leadership Synergy and Developmental Impact in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District,” which will explore how effective collaboration between political leaders has accelerated development across the district.

The summit will also feature the public presentation of The Confluence, a commemorative publication documenting the developmental trajectory of the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District. The publication examines the contributions of Senate President Godswill Obot Akpabio to democratic governance and highlights the impact of his partnership with Governor Umo Eno in advancing infrastructure, economic growth, and social development across Akwa Ibom State.

Other activities lined up for the event include a session of policy discourse, a documentary presentation showcasing key milestones recorded during the three years under review.

Meanwhile, ISDMA President, Mr Emma Akpabio, invites Governor Umo Eno, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, distinguished guests, stakeholders, and members of the public to participate in the summit, which provides a platform to reflect on visionary leadership, collaborative governance, and the sustained development of Akwa Ibom State.
